About Us
We're John and Marianne Hollier, owners of the Corona Grill.  Owning a cafe in the
geographic center of nowhere was not exactly on our list of things to do when we
graduated from college, but here we are 20 years later. We are recent transplants
from Katy, Texas (near Houston), and have escaped the world of software
development.

John is from a small town in South Louisiana.  Marianne was born in Berkeley,
California and raised in Austin, Texas.   When John's mom needed help in the
kitchen, John got volunteered.  When Marianne's mom needed help in the kitchen,
she was playing down the street.  The Deep South meets the Left Coast.   Anyway,
we're still happily married and have settled in the tiny community of Corona, New
Mexico.

The Village of Corona has a population of about 200 people, with approximately
500 in the Corona Metropolitan area.  Corona is located in the center of New
Mexico in Lincoln County at an elevation of 6675 feet.  Corona means "crown" in
Spanish, and the village got its name from the railroad company as the highest
point on the rail between Chicago and Los Angeles.

There are no cell phones in Corona.  Well, there are, but the only reception
available is over by the cemetery, and then you're never really sure who you're
talking to.

Life is laid back here.  Friends gather here over a cup of coffee and a donut to
discuss the local goings on.  People come from far and wide for one of our Green
Chile Cheese Burgers or our Friday Night Specials.

Stop by and see us.  You'll be glad you did.
